Your serum works in minutes — but the way you apply it makes all the difference. Please take two minutes to read this guide before your first use. Mastering the technique may take an application or two, and that is completely normal.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: PATCH TEST
As with any cosmetic product you are using for the first time, we recommend a 24-hour patch test before facial application. Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and leave for 24 hours. If any irritation, redness or reaction occurs, do not use the product.
HOW IT WORKS
Beverly Hills serums create an invisible, skin-perfecting micro-layer on the surface of the skin. As this layer dries, it gently tightens and smooths — visibly softening the look of fine lines, under-eye bags, crow's feet and wrinkles. The effect is temporary and typically lasts up to 8 hours. Results are not permanent and will vary from person to person.
Directions for use
Four simple steps. The golden rule throughout: less is more.
STEP 1
Prep
Start with clean, completely dry skin. Gently cleanse the area and pat fully dry. Oil-based cosmetics, moisturisers and perspiration all reduce the lifting effect, so the skin should be free of any other product.
STEP 2
Dispense
Unscrew the cap and squeeze the tube gently from the bottom. Dispense a tiny amount onto a fingertip — about half the size of a pea is enough to begin. You can always add a little more; you cannot easily take it away. For a more controlled dose, squeeze it onto the back of your hand first and pick up a little at a time with a fingertip — one half-pea dose is enough for both eye areas.
STEP 3
Apply
Using your fingertip, gently pat — do not rub — a thin, even layer over the targeted area. Work in light dabbing motions and avoid direct contact with the eyes. A thin, even film performs far better than a thick one. If you need a second layer, apply it straight away while the first is still damp — never over product that has already dried.
STEP 4
Set
Leave the layer slightly damp on the skin — this is when the magic happens. For the next 10 minutes, keep your face relaxed and still: avoid talking, smiling or other expressions while the product sets and dries.
TWO GOLDEN RULES — WHAT NOT TO DO
- DO NOT RUB. Pat the serum on and leave it slightly damp. Rubbing, sweeping or smoothing it until it disappears breaks the lifting film and the product will not work.
- DO NOT LAYER OVER DRY PRODUCT. Only ever apply wet-on-wet. Adding a second coat on top of a layer that has already dried is the single most common cause of white residue and patchiness.
WHAT YOU SHOULD FEEL
A firm tightening or light pulling sensation as the layer dries is completely normal — it tells you the film has formed correctly. It is usually strongest in the first 20 minutes and then eases while the smoothing effect remains. It should never sting or burn; if it does, remove the product and discontinue use.
WANT IT TO SET FASTER?
Once applied, you can speed drying with a hand-held fan or the cool (never warm) setting of a hairdryer held at a distance. Keep the face still while it dries.
YOU KNOW IT'S RIGHT WHEN…
You will feel the skin gently tighten as the serum dries. Once fully set, the targeted area looks smoother and more lifted. The effect lasts up to 8 hours and can be topped up with a further small application whenever you wish.

HOW TO REMOVE
Do not rub the product off. Soak a cotton pad or soft cloth in warm water, hold it gently against the area for 20–30 seconds to soften the film, then lift the product away with light downward strokes. Repeat with a fresh pad if needed, then cleanse as usual. An oil-based cleanser makes removal easier still.
Troubleshooting
WHITE OR CHALKY RESIDUE
A white residue simply means too much product has been applied, or it was applied over an area that had already dried. Lightly dampen a soft cloth or cotton bud with water and gently dab the area to lift the excess — do not rub. If the residue persists, remove the product completely and start again with a smaller amount.
UNEVEN OR PATCHY RESULT
Movement during the 10-minute setting window, or an uneven application, can lessen the effect. Gently dab a small amount over the affected area to even it out. If a second layer is needed, apply it quickly while the first layer is still damp — layering over a dry layer can cause residue.
TIGHT OR OVER-PULLED FEELING
Applying too much to one spot can briefly over-tighten the skin. If this happens, simply dampen the area, remove the product and reapply a thinner layer.
NOTHING COMING OUT OF THE TUBE
Check that the protective seal under the cap has been removed. Squeeze firmly but slowly from the base of the tube, working the product upwards — with a new tube it can take a moment before it flows. Replace the cap after every use to preserve the formula.
Wearing makeup with your serum
- Apply over the top only. Always apply your serum first and let it set fully before any makeup goes on.
- Choose mineral, not liquid. Use a mineral or powder makeup over the serum. Liquid foundation can break the invisible film and cause a 'balling' effect, meaning you would need to reapply.
STORAGE & SAFETY
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the cap closed between uses. For external use on face and neck only. Avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with cool water. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Results are temporary and vary by individual.
