Ethoxydiglycol (Transcutol CG) at 10% and Dimethyl Isosorbide at 5% are pharmaceutical-grade solvents that carry L-Ascorbic Acid through the stratum corneum. Vitamin C must reach the dermis to stimulate collagen synthesis — most vitamin C serums contain neither of these carriers.
Provitamin B5 at 0.5% supports barrier repair and reduces the sting associated with low-pH vitamin C, while 1% Sodium Hyaluronate solution holds water at the surface so a 15% L-Ascorbic serum still feels cushioned rather than tight.
L-Ascorbic Acid is only stable and skin-permeable below pH 3.5. At pH 3.2 (batch-verified) this serum is in the optimal window for both stability and bioavailability.

L-Ascorbic Acid is the only form with direct clinical evidence for collagen synthesis stimulation, melanin inhibition and antioxidant photoprotection. Stabilised derivatives require enzymatic conversion in the skin before becoming active. At 15% this serum is above the 10% clinical threshold and below the 20–25% level where irritation risk increases without meaningful additional benefit.
Ferulic Acid at 0.5% does three things: it stabilises the highly unstable L-Ascorbic Acid, extending active shelf-life; it provides its own antioxidant activity; and it doubles the photoprotective capacity of the Vitamin C + E combination. Application

A colour change from clear or off-white to yellow or orange is normal Vitamin C oxidation. The serum remains safe to use but active potency is reduced. Store in a cool, dark place.
